Spellcraft: Wolf Moon

On the eve last past, otherwise known as last night, nestled within the dawn of 2025, arose our first full moon, bathed in celestial splendour. She has been endowed with the title, “Wolf Moon”. The cosmos conspired to deliver an enchanting spectacle, revealing a resplendent ballet of lunar light against the ink-black canvas of the night sky.

This clear spectacle came rather serendipitously, for the days precedent were consumed by a dappled grey shroud that held firm and unmoving. As though bidding adieu after the Wolf Moon’s night sojourn, the grey wisps of uncertainty returned to the morning sky.

Wolf Moon

Upon gleam’s first light and crow’s first caw,
Ring forth an “Awoooo!” that shadows withdraw.
Lodge a chord within the sapphire sphere,
Harbour riddles that only the moon may hear.

I managed to capture the moon twice in this image by shooting it through the double-glazed windows and catching an unexpected extra reflection.
