The Yellow Fairy
I made a detailed recreation and reimagining of the illustration and artwork of the 1894 first edition cover design of The Yellow Fairy, a collection of fairytales translated by Leonora Blanche Alleyne, edited by Andrew Lang, and originally illustrated by Henry Justice Ford. Pieced together from fragments and photos.
It wasn’t easy to rediscover the needed details as most photographs are either too small, out of focus, incomplete, of damages books, or way too shiny or faded.
